PNEUMATIC TRANSPORT SYSTEMS INCLUDE DILUTE PHASE PNEUMATIC TRANSPORT, DENSE PHASE PNEUMATIC TRANSPORT , VACUUM (NEGATIVE PRESSURE) TRANSPORT SYSTEMS.
Dilute phase pneumatic transport systems are systems in which powder and granular materials are carried with low pressure but high flow rated air. The system usually operates on positive pressure and generally positive displacement blower is used as air source. These systems are appropriate for the transportation of;Non-abrasive , Non-fragile, Low density materials. Dense phase pneumatic transport system generally consists of a silo in which the material is stocked, a valve beneath, pressurized vessel and pipeline. When the valve below the silo opens, the material in the silo is discharged to the vessel by its own weight. Vacuum transport systems are widely used for collecting materials to one line from different stations. Vacuum transport systems are also suitable for moving bulk materials out of open top silos and stocking areas.
